The World's Longest Train Mural
Company: Kirkland Photography & Design
Client: Venture Foods, Divide, CO
Project: Retail design and wayfinding
Objective: Faced with competition from big box stores, Venture Foods decided to remodel. Our goal was to transform a small town grocery store to a local destination.
Solution: Collaborated with the Ute Pass Historical Society to capture and restore hundreds of local, historical images and build a 200+ foot long mural along the store soffit. To further extend the theme, we created train-inspired signage. Rustic finishes and details of reclaimed wood added character to the store.
Role: Creative director, designer
