Georgia Tech Locker Room

Georgia Tech Locker Room

Georgia Tech Football Locker Room

Client: Georgia Institute of Technology Football (Jack Porter)
Summary: Together with CBRE l HEERY, Jack Porter transformed Georgia Tech’s locker room from dark, heavy, and outdated to a crisp, bold, cutting-edge reflection of the university and program alike. As an extension of the football operations renovation project completed in 2017, the locker room needed newly designed lockers as well as updated branding elements throughout. Highlighting the Yellow Jackets’ updated branding and new Adidas partnership, the locker room entry way boasts perforated metal, custom lighting and team imagery.

One of the first elements of the locker room to greet visitors is a “swag display” – a cluster of eight, hexagonally shaped, brightly lit cases built into the wall that features the Jackets’ new Adidas gear. With a modular design, the display can be easily updated with new products and merch. Once inside, it’s difficult to miss the centrally-located giant hexagon and face-lit custom “GT” logo which anchors the new gathering area for the team.

Heery and Jack Porter designed custom lockers that maximize space and design. The lockers reference the brand’s chevron and hex shapes; provide a sense of privacy; while opening up the space. A nod to the Ramblin’ Wreck, each locker has it’s own rumble seat reference. The newly renovated facility puts Georgia Tech on level with other ACC competitors and wows new recruits as they walk the space. It became the home for the New England Patriots when they were in Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII and remains a main backdrop for program photo shoots.
